Updates for Week of May 11, 2008
This week our church is praying for Bob Tidd, Steve Chupp, and Brad Yutzy as they travel to Cuba May 14-22. Ask God to provide his blessing and guidance throughout this trip. Pray for God’s favor with the airlines and customs as they carry in items for the churches. We will pray for the team after today’s service.
Tanneken Fros will be in Goshen again on May 13-22. If you would like to have her in your home or to visit your home group during this time please coordinate this with Joan Morningstar

It's time to power up in The Power Lab!!! This years VBS is set for July 7 - 11 from 9:00 -am to 12:00 pm. We are looking for volunteers to help with VBS. There is a sign up sheet in the information center.
Truth Encounters, our Bible study series for this year, continues this week! Make sure you have a Zion Chapel reading/study guide, available at the information Center or on our website at www.zionchapel.org/e100.
Open Elders Meeting Saturday, May 24, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. This is your opportunity to meet with the elders of your church. See any of the elders for an appointment.
Prophetic Presbytery is coming to Zion Chapel Friday (7:00 pm) and Saturday (6:00 pm), May 30 and 31. This is for high school seniors and adults. Come out for a great time of worship and hearing God’s voice for these individuals and our church.
We need someone to make our communion bread once a month. Interested talk to Mim Weirich.
School of Equipping Classes
In conjunction with our Sunday Morning “Truth Encounters E-100 Series the School of Equipping is offering a Seminar on “How to Study the Bible”
This class will be held on two Wednesdays, May 28 and June 4 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
We have three phenomenal instructors: Phil Hartzler, Bruce Yoder and Jared Yoder. They will cover topics like
How understanding context helps correctly interpret and properly apply God’s word to our lives.
The effective use of Concordances, Bible, Dictionaries and Greek to unlock insights into truth.
How to enrich your life through verse by verse analysis.
Portions of scripture will be examined to illustrate these and other study methods. Sign up today at Info Central. Bring your bible as we learn to cultivate a love of God’s word.

Thursday , May 15 during the day 8:00 am—5:00 pm.
Do not bring items on Thursday after 5pm.(Celebrate Recovery)
Friday , May 16 , 8:00 am- 8:00 pm
Baked Goods be here on Friday, May 16 by 5:00 pm
Garage sale items - place in Fellowship Hall look for the signs.
